Community before profit
We'd rather give you an honest answer that costs us a sale than a convenient one that leaves you disappointed. Malindi is a small town — reputation is everything, and we take ours seriously.
We started small, stayed honest, and kept growing — because the community kept coming back.
Pulsepswift is a family-run local business based in Malindi, on Kenya's Indian Ocean coast. We provide three connected lines of service: general assistance for everyday tasks that residents and small operators need handled reliably; a structured appointment system for consultations and product demonstrations; and a curated product range sourced locally or from suppliers in Mombasa and Nairobi. We serve individuals, households, and small businesses across Malindi town and the surrounding areas — anyone who wants a straightforward, personal alternative to impersonal online ordering or distant service providers. Our office and walk-in point is on Lamu Road, easily accessible from the town centre, and we've been operating from the same location since 2017. In that time we've handled more than 800 requests across all three service lines, and the majority of our new customers come through word-of-mouth referrals from existing ones. That's the metric we're most proud of.
The core of how Pulsepswift operates is simple: one family, a small close-knit team, and a shared commitment to following through on what we say we'll do. When you book an appointment, a real person from our team handles it — not a contractor, not a temp. When we source a product for you, we've already checked it ourselves. Our process starts with listening: we ask a few questions to understand what you actually need, then we give you a clear answer about what we can do, how long it'll take, and what it costs. No vague estimates, no surprise charges. We also want to be honest about limits. We're a small operation, which means we don't handle large-scale wholesale orders, we can't guarantee next-day sourcing for specialist items from outside Mombasa, and our Saturday hours are intentionally short. For urgent or highly specialised needs beyond our scope, we'll always tell you upfront and, where we can, point you to someone better placed to help. That's how a family business should work.
“What stands out about Pulsepswift is that they actually tell you when something will take longer than expected. Most places just go quiet. Here, I got a call on day two explaining the delay and offering an alternative. That honesty is what keeps me going back, months later.”

If we say we'll call you back by midday, we call you back by midday. This sounds basic, but it's the thing our customers mention most often when they refer us to friends and neighbours.
Inspired by the azure clarity of the coast we work on, we keep our communication straightforward — no jargon, no runaround, just plain language that tells you exactly where things stand.
We're on Lamu Road, open Monday to Saturday. Call, WhatsApp, or just walk in.
